last weekend, one of our boys and a couple of his mates organised a city2surf team, fundraising for the brain cancer group. the team name was U-Brain Bolt (yes, like Usain) which referenced the run and the brain and as you can imagine, leveraged plenty of promotional opportunity in the lead up. Jackson Carey, Tom O'Connor and Callum Reid had been planning this event for months in their own time, and while beecraft made humble contributions to the fundraising total and event logistics, the boys managed to raise over $33,000! this was made up of team member's personal fundraising, ticket sales to the post race function, sponsorship, and tickets to the raffle with over 10 different prizes. it was an awesome day for an even better cause. we were just happy to be there and part of it for the epic day it was. while the majority of attendees made the effort from hyde park to bondi for the fun run, the boys sold over 230 tickets to the post race function at the royal hotel paddington. we saw plenty of beecraft representation including bruce carey, (pictured, right) with Ray Cook, Director of The brain cancer group, (pictured, left). We can't wait for U-Brain Bolt 2020!
